At 11th December, Prof. Xuewei Bao from Zhejiang university gave an academic report entitled “The crust and mantle structure of the western China” in Room 107, Duxue Building. Prof. Hongbin Tan from our school hosted this report.

Prof. Xuewei Bao introduced the case studies about the distinct orogenic processes in the south and north‐central Tien Shan in the west China from receiver functions and the episodic lithospheric deformation in eastern Tibet inferred from seismic anisotropy. He also explained the theory of the H‐k stacking scheme method with harmonic corrections (H‐k‐c) in detail. Prof. Bao explained research vividly attracting the attention of the teachers and students present.
