Prof. Fawu Wang from Tongji university gave an academic report

发布时间: 2020-12-25

On the afternoon of December 24, 2020, at the invitation of School of earth sciences and engineering, Professor Wang Fawu of Tongji University made an academic report entitled motion mechanism and motion range prediction of high-speed remote landslide. This report was presided over by Professor Dou Zhi, and more than 100 teachers and students of our college participated in this academic report.

Combined with a large number of high-speed and long-distance landslide cases at home and abroad, the paper discusses the movement mechanism and scope of high-speed and long-distance landslide in detail from the three landslide triggering factors of earthquake, rainfall and reservoir water level change according to the research idea of field investigation, laboratory test and numerical simulation. Based on a large number of field investigations, combined with the classical theory of soil mechanics, the important role of hydrodynamic conditions in high-speed and long-distance landslides is discussed. Finally, based on the results of field investigation and laboratory test, the mechanism of high-speed long-distance landslide initiation and long-distance movement is elaborated in detail, and verified by numerical simulation. In the interactive link, Professor Wang Fawu patiently answered the questions of students and conducted academic discussions with the teachers in the venue, which provided effective suggestions for the related research of teachers and students.
